The Abstract Company is a full service abstract and title insurance company affiliated with the Seymour, Indiana law firm of Montgomery, Elsner & Pardieck, LLP. Because both firms work close together, attorneys from MEP frequently assist with closings, document preparation, commitment and policy review, and resolution of particularly difficult title issues.
Edward P. Elsner, Jr., along with his partner, Richard H. Montgomery, were the founders of The Abstract Company. The company was originally established as a service to the law firm’s banking and real estate clients. As The Abstract Company’s business grew, it became apparent that it could no longer be operated from the law firm’s offices. In 1978, The Abstract Company was established as a separate entity, with its own office building and staff. Today, The Abstract Company again operates with the law firm offices at 308 West Second Street, Seymour, Indiana, giving it the ability to work closely with the banking, business and real estate needs of the firm's clients and the community.
The attorneys working most frequently with The Abstract Company include Bill Braman, Steve Robison, Denise Connell and Stephanie Mellenbruch.
Bill Braman is the law firm’s principal partner working with The Abstract Company. Bill has been practicing law since 1990 and focuses his practice on business and real estate transactions. He works closely with the Abstract Company’s staff and has substantial experience in major commercial real estate transactions.
Steve Robison began practicing law in 1979, and his primary role at The Abstract Company, along with Denise Connell and Stephanie Mellenbruch, is to assist in the review of residential title commitments, final policy review, and closing of real estate transactions. |
